Date of Funeral

May 1, 2024

We gather to bid farewell to a remarkable soul, Nzilu Muthami. Born in 1971, he graced this world with his presence. Nzilu was more than a name; he was the embodiment of strength and wisdom within our family.

The son of Ruth Kambua Muthami and Muthami Kisamwa, Nzilu came from a family rich in love and history. As one of the 20 siblings, he stood out as the 13th child, surrounded by the warmth and camaraderie of his brothers and sisters. Among them, he shared bonds of love with Kimwele, Kavuli, Kataki, and many others, each adding a unique thread to the tapestry of their family’s legacy.

Nzilu’s role extended beyond his immediate family; he embraced the responsibility of being a husband to Lucy Mutanu Nzilu and a father to Eric Nzilu and Mutheu Nzilu. His love and dedication knew no bounds, shaping the lives of those closest to him with tenderness and care.

Within our family, Nzilu held a special place as the keeper of memories and the voice of reason. As the family secretary, he meticulously preserved our heritage, ensuring that our past was never forgotten. His soft-spoken demeanor belied a strength of character that guided us through the toughest of times, his wisdom a beacon of light in moments of uncertainty.

Beyond our family’s walls, Nzilu’s influence extended into the wider community, where his gentle yet firm presence left an indelible mark. His commitment to social causes and his willingness to lend a helping hand touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and compassion.

As we bid Nzilu farewell, we hold onto the memories of his laughter, his wisdom, and his unwavering love. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. May his soul find eternal peace, and may we honor his legacy by embracing the values he held dear.

Farewell, dear Nzilu, until we meet again.
